Giraffe

Sometimes measuring 18 feet, the giraffe is the world's tallest animal. Living mainly in herds, giraffes eat the high foliage of the Acacia tree found on the savannas of Africa. These majestic creatures rarely sleep. The population of various giraffe species is dropping and steps must be taken to help preserve them in the wild.
